Oliver!
Cast

Max Oilman-Williams (Oliver) is a sixth grader originally from
Washington, D.C. Max has performed with the San Diego Opera,
Diversionary Theatre and San Diego Junior Theatre. Most
recently he performed on Family Vacation's Spring Break
Cruise to the Mexican Riviera as Harry in
The Daddy Machine.
Favorite roles include Logan (Wednesday),
King Louie (The Jungle
Book) and Nicki (One
for the Road). In addition to singing and
acting, Max plays guitar and drums, plays competitive soccer
and hosts a radio show. Max would like to thank Leigh and
Sarah, his voice and acting teachers, for their support.
Patrick McBride (Fagin) is thrilled to be a Resident Artist for Such
and Such Productions. For over 20 years, as an actor/ director/
or teacher, Patrick has worked at theaters around the country
including: the Great Lakes Theatre Festival, National Actors
Theatre, The Acting Company, Georgia Shakespeare Festival, Lake
Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, PCPA Theaterfest, and The
Shakespeare Theatre in D.C. Local theatres include: Cygnet,
Diversionary, Junior Theatre, The La Jolla Playhouse, Moonlight,
NCRT, Patio Playhouse, and The Old Globe. Favorite acting roles
include Benedict in Much Ado
about Nothing, Billy in
Anything Goes,
Whiteside in The Man Who
Came to Dinner, Touchstone in
As You Like It, and
the title role in Bullshot
Crummond.
Lisa Goodman (Nancy) has been performing on stages in San
Diego and North County for many years. Favorite roles include
Woman 1 in Side by Side by
Sondheim, Nancy in
Oliver, Ado Annie in
Oklahoma,
Mazeppa in Gypsy,
Maria in Mambo Italiano
and various role in 6 Women With Brain Death or Expiring Minds
Want to Know, which she also successfully produced. When Lisa
isn't acting, producing or costuming for Pershing Middle School
she relaxes with her lovely family by taming wild squirrels.
Jacob Gardenswartz (Artful Dodger) is twelve
years old, and is in sixth grade at Francis Parker Middle
School. He has performed in numerous plays with Metropolitan
Educational Theatre, J*Company, Young Actors’ Theatre,
California Young Actors’ Conservatory and The San Diego
Repertory Theatre. His favorite shows and roles include: John
in Peter Pan, Augustus Gloop in Willy Wonka, Gavroche in Les
Miserables, Colin in The Secret Garden, Gad in Joseph ,and most
recently Aladdin in Aladdin. His dream is to someday perform on
Broadway and to be a marine biologist! Jacob would like to
thank his family for always being there and supporting his
passion!
Patrick Lathrop (Mr. Bumble) is an actor,
director, costumer and educator. He holds a BA in Theatre
Performance, an MFA in Musical Theatre, and an MA in Costume
History and Design. As an actor, some of his favorite roles
include Captain Hook in
Peter Pan, Toby Belch in
Twelfth Night, and
Sancho in Man of La Mancha.
Some of his directing credits include
Little Shop of Horrors,
Working,
The Grass Harp,
Story Theatre, Anything Goes
and Oliver. As
a Costumer he has designed
Cloud Nine,
Macbeth, Man of La Mancha, The Tales of Narnia, and
Alice in Wonderland
to mention a few. Patrick has worked with Imagination
Celebration of Orange County as the Programs Director, the
Pacific School of Music & the ARTS as the Administrative
Assistant and a teacher of voice and drama, and most recently
with Pasadena Junior Theatre as Education Director. Patrick has
also been a lecturer on Period Movement & Manners and Costume
History with San Diego State University's Annual Writer's
Conference, San Diego City College, and the Mission Viejo
Library. Patrick has a wide and varied background, from being a
company dancer and actor with Utah Shakespeare Festival to being
a Travel Study Coordinator with SDSU, where he had the
opportunity to travel and study in England, Europe, Mexico, and
Central America. Patrick brings a lifetime of experience to the
San Diego Junior Theatre where he serves as a teacher, director,
and Education Manager.
Holly Stephenson (Widow Corney) is thrilled to be involved in Such N Such's
production of Oliver! and equally happy to reunite with 1990
Summerstock alumns of Oliver!; Alisa and Cam. Holly's most
recent role was that of Hannah in
Night of the Iguana. Some of her other credits include:

thank her Mom and Michael for all their love and support; Lisa
and April for being the prettiest AD's; Rob for "just driving
along" and Kat - you are the best SM ever! Enjoy the show!
Geoffrey A. Cox (Bill Sykes) is delighted to be part of Such N’ Such
Productions and thrilled to reprise his role as the evil Bill
Sykes in Oliver!
He was last seen in Starlight Theatre’s Beauty & the Beast as
Monsieur D’Arque. Favorite acting credits include: Cat in
Honk! , Van Helsing
in Dracula: the Musical?
, Fred/Petruchio in
Kiss Me Kate, Thomas
Jefferson in 1776,
and Paul Bratter in Barefoot
in the Park. Favorite directing credits include:
The Shape of Things, The Music
Man, and
Little Women. Mr.
Cox is also an accredited writer for the Walt Disney Co. who
purchased his unique musical entitled
Once Upon A Dream.
Mr. Cox enjoys working and teaching children the many aspects of
theatre. During the summer he workswith
No Limits Theatre, a
theatre program for deaf and hard of hearing children based out
of Los Angeles. He also just completed a role in the film
Well Done with Blue Gradient Films. He can be seen in the San
Diego Opera’s Aida
in April and is currently directing
The Most Fabulous Story Ever
Told in association with Looking Glass Theatre where
he currently resides on the board of directors.
Jazzy Aburto-Pratt (Bet) is thrilled to be a part of Such N’Such
Productions. She has been in the San Diego musical theatre
scene for about 4 years although she has been performing all her
life. Recent roles include Faith (Anything Goes), Barnacles
(Honk!), Charlotte (Oliver!) and Rosie u/s (Bye Bye Birdie).
She recently performed at 6th @ Penn in Ruff Yager’s original
musical “Tiny Tim’s Great Big Musical”. Right now she is
studying dance at San Diego City College and Culture Shock Dance
Studio. Whether it be on stage singing and dancing or off stage
directing and choreographing, Jazzy will always be a part of
theatre somewhere somehow!
Cameron Williams (Mr. Sowerberry) is excited to be performing in
Oliver! again, a
show he last did at 15 years old when he met his wife, Alisa.
He is proud to be joining her again on stage along with family
and friends. He grew up doing theatre (thanks, Mom and Dad) and
loves having the opportunity to do the occasional musical every
few years. Favorite roles include Bud Frump and Mr. Bratt in
How to Succeed...,
Prince Dauntlessin Once
Upon a Mattress, andLittle Harp in
Robber Bridegroom.
He has performed for Santee Community Theatre, Scripps Ranch
Theatre, and Starlight Theatre. Cameron spends his days
"performing" for his fifth grade students at Carlton Oaks School
in Santee. He is looking forward to having his 4-year-old
daughter Bryn see him on stage.
Elizabeth Patton (Mrs. Sowerberry) is one of 6
siblings and was born 30 miles north of Chicago Illinois in a
suburb called Park Ridge. She is very excited to be performing
in her first Adult theatrical debut. Elizabeth has been
influenced by her parents, Jane and Jim Patton, who were
involved in local theater and community performances for over 25
years. She has a background in vocals, hairstyling, and make-up
artistry. Elizabeth has also been a lead vocalist for many San
Diego musicians. Her passions are spending time with her family,
singing and, acting. Elizabeth is very proud to be performing
with the “Such and Such Productions” as well as being on stage
with her mother, Jane Patton, daughter; Rebekah Patton and
niece; Megan Patton.
Although
this is J.D.
Koho's (Noah Claypole) first time in an actual
play, he is quite the actor. Drama rests in his blood and so
does singing apparently! He has won a major dance competition
and can play the piano like no one’s business. He is also quite
the ladies man! He would like to thank Ricki Slayday for all of
her support and for always telling him that he has rehearsal
when he forgets. Thank you to Lisa for everything you’ve done
for me, and lastly, I’d like to thank my Mother for being the
best Mom ever!
Audrey Goodman (Charlotte)
is a ninth grader who attends High Tech High.
Besides boys, Audrey loves theatre! She has performed in
numerous plays at Pershing Middle School and with Premiere
Productions. Favorite roles include Ado Annie in
Oklahoma!, Miss
Hannigan in Annie,
Gabriella in High School
Musical and Jasmine in
Aladdin. She’d like
to give a big shout out to her homies Matilda, Pearl and of
course, Dolly! She would also like to thank her influences Rene,
Holly and Ethel Merman. Mom: You’re more delicious than a
squirrel in Springtime!
A
native Californian and a practicing trial attorney, Michael
Freeland (Mr. Brownlow) has acted in theater productions of
A Christmas Carol, Scapino!,
Li’l Abner, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and
West Side Story. In
addition, Michael has written, directed and/or appeared in
numerous short plays and short films for church groups and
public access television.
Louis Regas (Dr. Grimwig) has a vast experience in singing in choirs and
selected groups starting in elementary school all the way
through adulthood. He represented San Diego State as a member
of the Four Ambassadors throughout San Diego County and Southern
California. He represented the City of San Diego as a member of
the Singing San Diegans in a tour of Europe as part of the
City's 200th anniversary celebration. Louis had the
privilege of singing in the chorus of the San Diego Opera in
eight productions and in three productions of San
Diego Starlight Opera: Fiddler, Shenendoah, and Man of La Mancha.
He has also performed in Brigadoon with Christian Community
Theater. Alas, his time for performing was restricted when he
became an administrator with the San Diego City Schools and is
currently at Lewis Middle School where he keeps a close eye on
many of the performers in this production. Louis gives a
special thanks to his wife Nancy and his two wonderful daughters
for always believing in him.
Cheryl Slavik (Mrs. Bedwin)
currently teaches music at Hearst Elementary School and directs
the 5th grade chorus. She is also an active member of the
Contemporary Singers at First United Methodist Church. In the
non-musical part of her life she is self employed at DBA
Computer Learning Services and provides computer training and
consultation to companies in San Diego.
Linda McCue (Old Sally/Strawberry Seller)
has performed at several theatres in San Diego,
including CCT and Lyric Opera. As Electra in Gypsy, she lit up
the stage and was a featured soloist and dancer for Ain’t
Misbehavin’ at the Saville Theatre. She frequently performs at
various community venues and recently sang the National Anthem
for the start of the Iron Girl race in Solana Beach and at the
San Diego Blood Bank 10 K fund raiser at Seaport Village. In
July 07, she sang with her choir during a French choir exchange
program at the Neuroscience Institute in La Jolla. She is a
registered Nurse with a BS degree, recently retired from the Air
Force and has her AS degree in music. She is thrilled to be
working with Lisa Goodman again after their scene study class
together eight years ago!
April Boatman's (Rose Seller)
background lies primarily in musical theatre in
which she received her B.A. from U.C.S.D. She received two
Aubrey awards for Best Actress for the roles of Luisa in
The Fantasticks and
Lizzie in 110 in the Shade.
You can also hear April on the sound recording of
Crazy Wisdom, an
original musical about the life of Gurdjieff. Some of her
favorite roles include: Rita in
Prelude To A Kiss,
Audrey in Little Shop of
Horrors, and Marian in
The Music Man. But
nothing has been as thrilling for April than being a Resident
Artist of Such N’ Such Productions!
