Summer Classes Registration Form

We are holding three sets of classes this summer:

1. Musical Theater Conservatory
July 13-24, Mondays-Thursday 9 A.M. - 1:30 P.M.
Learn all aspects of musical theater including singing technique, basic dance choreography, acting technique, and a showcase performance on the last day of class! Tuition: $240

2.  Participate in a Production Workshop
July 27-Aug. 14, Mondays-Thursdays 9A.M.- 3P.M.
Gain invaluable experience putting the skills you learned to work while having fun in a staged musicla production!  This year we are performing Guys and Dolls Jr.  Tuition: $360

3. How to Audition for Musical Theatre
Saturdays, August 15 & 29, 9 A.M. to 12 P.M.
In this class, we teach what to expect at an audition: how to present a song, basic choreography to get you through a dance audition and techniques on cold readings along with how to prepare a resume. This cost is $90. Ages 8 to Adult.

All classes are held at Zion Community Church in Allied Gardens, 4880 Zion Ave.

Our Teachers

Lisa Goodman: Acting Instructor
Lisa would gather up all the neighborhood kids and put on shows in her backyard as a child, so it's only fitting that she'd still be doing it as an adult! Lisa, an actor and producer, has performed on stages in San Diego and North County from The Coronado Playhouse to The Avo Playhouse and The Broadway Theatre in Vista and everywhere in-between for many, many years. Favorite roles include Annie Oakley in Annie Get Your Gun, Nancy in Oliver!, Maria in Mambo Italiano,  Ado Annie in Oklahoma! and Frankie in Ricky Dean and the Doo Wop Girls. Lisa has also taught children's acting classes, wrote, produced and directed a children's play and has costumed thousands of kids at Pershing Middle School. As a producer Lisa is currently working on her 5th show, Annie to open this fall.

Kirk Valles: Vocal Instructor
Kirk is a music teacher, a musician, musical director and Resident Artist with Such N' Such Productions.  He has worked for the Coronado School of the Arts in both musical theatre and vocal instruction.  Mr. Valles currently teaches at Hawthorne Elementary's seminar program as their choral director, teaches private voice and piano lessons and is director of music for a church in downtown San Diego . Kirk has been Musical Director for 52 shows which include Annie Get Your Gun, The Music Man, Oliver!, Closer Than Ever, Songs For A new World, Evita, Grease, The Wiz, A My name is Alice, Little Shop of Horrors, The Fantasticks, Guys and Dolls, Working,  Side by Side by Sondheim and many others.

Alisa Williams: Dance Instructor
Alisa, a Resident Artist with Such N' Such Productions, has been working in theater for eighteen years as a choreographer and actress. She most recently choreographed SNS' production of Annie Get Your Gun.  She was also seen in Onstage Playhouses Production of Cabaret where she both choreographed and played Sally Bowles. She has worked with a number of other theaters including Scripps Ranch, Starlight, and PowPac. When away from theater, Alisa works as a fourth grade teacher at Carlton Oaks Elementary in Santee.
